CTEA Workshop Scheduled for April 10, 2010
The first of several workshops to replace the 2009 CTEA annual conference has been scheduled for April 10, 2010 at Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, CO. The cost is $30, which includes your membership to CTEA. Among the topics to be covered are:
- Aerodynamics of RC Cars - Student use R/C cars to learn STEM.
- Senior Projects - How to run a capstone class for Tech Ed program.
- Podcasting - Tips and tools for using podcasts as part of a STEM curriculum
- TSA Roundtable - Discussion and sharing of TSA chapter management techniques (Fundraising, running a officer team, preparing students for events)
- Free Tech Ed Software Resources - Discussion/demonstration/hands on time with: Google SketchUp (Free CAD software); Google Apps for Education (“Cloud” based portfolios/documents); West Point Bridge Builder (Bridge simulation software); Game Maker 8 (2D videogame Design); Lego Digital Designer ( Lego design software); Phun (2D physics sandbox); Blender (3D animation/Game Engine)...and more!!!!
