The Colorado Industrial Arts Association put forth a considerable amount of effort to obtain supervisory assistance from either the Board of Vocational Education or the Commissioner of Education for industrial arts. Another tremendous effort went into asking the Board of Vocational Education to accept industrial arts into the State Plan for Vocational Education.
It was moved and seconded that membership starts when the application is received and ends one year later. Presently it is convention to convention.
More than 1800 projects were entered from 44 high schools and 23 junior high schools.
At the next AIAA meeting, CIAA will propose that Denver host the AIAA convention in 1985 with 1986 as a second choice. April of 1980 it was reported that California will host the 1985 convention but 1987 is still open.
